Enterprise Architect to ABAX Sweden or Norway
ABAX is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Enterprise Architect to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of our enterprise technology ecosystem. Reporting directly to the CTO, this is a senior strategic role responsible for aligning ABAX’s technology landscape with its long-term business objectives.
The Enterprise Architect will play a pivotal role in modernizing and optimizing ABAX’s internal systems, including CRM, ERP, subscription management, and marketing platforms. While key projects will include reshaping the architecture of these systems to improve integration, scalability, and efficiency, this role extends beyond any single project. The Enterprise Architect will provide long-term leadership and governance over ABAX’s enterprise architecture, ensuring it remains adaptable, future-proof, and aligned with the company’s strategic vision.
This is a high-impact, strategic role that requires deep technical expertise, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture Leadership:
- Define and implement a comprehensive enterprise architecture strategy that aligns with ABAX’s long-term strategy.
- Ensure all internal systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, subscription management, and marketing platforms) integrate seamlessly together with the main ABAX platform, with clear ownership and responsibility for each system.
- Identify and address limitations in the current technology landscape, designing solutions that optimize scalability, flexibility, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on technology trends and recommending strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
System Modernization and Optimization:
- Lead the transformation and modernization of ABAX’s internal systems, ensuring they support business needs such as customer relationship management, subscription management, and operational excellence.
- Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new tools or platforms to replace or enhance existing systems, ensuring they integrate well into the overall architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear roles and responsibilities for each system and establish effective integration frameworks.
Strategic Integration and Governance:
- Define standards, guidelines, and best practices for system integration and data flow across the organization.
- Ensure enterprise systems provide a unified view of data while maintaining security, data governance, and compliance requirements.
- Establish an architecture governance framework to evaluate new projects, initiatives, and technology investments.
Ongoing Evolution and Innovation:
- Continuously evaluate the performance, scalability, and interoperability of ABAX’s enterprise systems.
- Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies, methodologies, or tools that support innovation and business growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving regular reviews and updates of the enterprise architecture framework.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product/technology, customer operations, sales, marketing, and finance, to understand business requirements and align technology solutions accordingly.
- Provide technical leadership to internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams (internal and external), ensuring alignment of goals and priorities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related roles with a track record of leading large-scale, strategic technology transformations.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise system design, integration, and governance, including experience with CRM, ERP, and subscription management platforms.
- Expertise in designing scalable, modular, and future-proof architectures that support business growth and evolving needs.
- Strong understanding of API-based integrations, middleware, and modern approaches to data management.
- Proven ability to align technology strategies with business objectives and provide long-term vision and leadership.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in SaaS, subscription-based businesses, or fleet management industries.
