Senior Technical Project Manager
At ABAX, we’re transforming the telematics industry across Europe — helping businesses with mobile workforces work smarter by reducing costs, optimizing operations, and improving sustainability, efficiency, and safety.
As a Technical Project Manager, you will primarily manage complex technical projects for ABAX, working closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders. You will play a key role in driving project execution from initiation, planning to delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, high-quality outcomes, and smooth organizational handover.
In this role, you will balance technical depth with strong leadership, clear communication, and a structured, data-driven approach to project management.
Some of the things you will be working on:
Develop a clear project plan (scope, timeline, and budget) based on the project directive.
Identify required project resources and ensure they are allocated in line with project needs.
Create and maintain a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in collaboration with project team members.
Lead and coordinate project teams, including internal and external resources, to deliver according to the project plan.
Plan and facilitate steering committee meetings, preparing decision-making material such as reporting on timeline, scope, and cost.
Develop, maintain, and ensure the quality of project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure a smooth handover to the organization for implementation upon project completion.
Essential skills:
Experience with modern project management and delivery frameworks such as Agile (Scrum, Kanban), and/or structured methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP).
Ability to apply the right approach pragmatically in a product-led, engineering-driven environment.
Strong understanding of how to produce metrics and work in a data-driven manner.
Strong budgeting, cost tracking, and analytical skills.
Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear project actions and decision points.
Demonstrated ability to identify risks, assess trade-offs, and drive clarity in decision-making.
Experience leading and coordinating project teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
Solid understanding of SaaS architectures, APIs, system integrations, and cloud environments.
Fluency in English and Polish is mandatory for this role.
We believe you have:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the software industry, including at least 5 years in project management roles.
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
Personal attributes:
We’re looking for an energetic, people-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and embodies our four core values: enthusiastic, customer-centric, innovative, and sustainable. You approach challenges with an analytical mindset and strong attention to detail, while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively across different stakeholder groups. At ABAX, we value teamwork and motivation for cooperation across teams, departments, and geographies—being a true team player is key to our continued success.
